Whanganui – Where Trailers Are Built Well

KDL Trailers is a family-operated business based in rural Wanganui. It all began when Kyle was planning his tiny home build and needed a trailer for his house. Being disappointed with the strength to cost ratio of the tiny home trailer market at the time, he decided to build his own trailer. So, working out of his boss’s workshop in 2022, he built his own. And after thoroughly enjoying the build and finding an opportunity to be self employed in Whanganui, he sold that first trailer to help fund the business — and never looked back.

What started as a one-off trailer for himself, quickly became a passion which is still going to this day, providing what he believes is some of the most well built tiny house trailers available in NZ.
